Faith Camp differs from VBS. We have 800 kids in RE or CCD. Some of the kiddos are behind in RE. There are children who attend both Wednesday night and Sunday morning religious Ed classes. Ten days of Faith Camp is 30 hours of instruction, equivalent to 30 weeks of Wednesday classes. The RE staff told me to do whatever I wanted. I like to do Faith, Bible stories, prayers, and Catholic traditions: Sacraments, sacramentals, vestments, liturgical colors, and loads of saints. I like to use an immersive style. The kids hear a brief lesson, maybe do a skit, and then do an activity or craft. It’s essentially a crash course in our Catholic faith.
