Faith Camp: Day Seven

I took better photos of their framed, Modge Podge images.

We managed to squeeze in a lesson about the life of Christ (through the mysteries of the Rosary), ‘The Weight of a Mass’, review of vestments and religious habits, sacramentals, and the treasures of penance.  We also glued.  My husband, Rob, hates painting and gluing.  Yesterday we did all of the painting; today we did all of the gluing, including the peg dolls.  The kids used Elmer’s glue or Modge Podge to make little frames art, canvas art, and magnets.  (It’s easy.  Just glue the image on wood, canvas, or cardboard.  Then spread glue on top of the image and let it dry.  The glue gives the image more of a canvas look.)  We used Holy Cards and images cut from religious calendars.  Teens cut out the images as part of their Confirmation hours.  Yes, we’re still cleaning glue for desks.  Yes, two girls missed Camp yesterday and had to both paint and glue today.
