My friend, Diane, gave me the courage to do VBS without a purchased program. You can, too! You need a team. The first step is to pick a theme. One of the most successful themes we did was The Greatest Hits! My friend, Louise, wanted to do the most famous stories from the Old Testament or Hebrew Scriptures. She said offhand, ‘You know, the greatest hits!’ Done. We had the theme. Next was devising a way to convey the theme. We used a movie reel. The kids acted out different Bible stories every day.
